Allama Iqbal Open University(AIOU) Admission Open 2022

 Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is a public university based in Multan, Punjab. AIOU provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees. It also has a distance learning program for teachers. Originally established by the Government of Punjab in 2002, AIOU's main goal is to meet the educational needs of the local population.

AIOU was established by the Government of Punjab in 2002 to meet the educational needs of the local population. AIOU has seven faculties: Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Languages, and Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics. Although initially offering only two-year courses, AIOU now offers both two-year and four-year courses. In addition, AIOU offers both part-time and full-time degree programs. The admission process at Allama Iqbal Open University is based on merit rather than rank.

AIOU has a good reputation among educators worldwide because of its quality education. It is one of the oldest universities in Pakistan and one of the five public universities in Pakistan with an Arts/Humanities department. According to AIOU's website, it's a Muslim-Hindi university with six departments and eight majors: English, History, Urdu, Political Science, Philosophy, Educational Studies. In addition, there are five departments and eight majors for Science: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Sciences and Geology.

Allama Iqbal Open University offers two types of degrees: BSc (Hons) and BA/BSc Honors. Both programs take four years to complete and are open to students with intermediate level education or an equivalent qualification. The admission process at Allama Iqbal Open University is based on merit rather than rank. Candidates who pass the entrance examination have preference over those who apply through open list or direct method. However, they are not given special treatment over other candidates. Because applying through direct method is more difficult than applying through open list, candidates from rural areas will apply through open list as well as direct method so that they can be assured a place in the university if they pass an exam.

AIOU has a good faculty to student ratio that ranges between 20 and 30 students per teacher. Based on performance in written examinations, students are placed into four categories: A1-A4 with A1 being the best performance; B1-B4 with B1 being the worst; C1-C4 with C1 being most deficient; D1-D4 with D1 being most deficient as well. Although initially offering only two-year courses, AIOU now offers both two-year and four-year courses. In addition, AIOU offers both part-time and full-time degree programs.
