The future of computing depends on how readily available and accessible computers are to the general public. In the past decade, access to computers has exploded, thanks to mobile phones, Wi-Fi hotspots and satellite links. But computers still aren't available where everyone can use them.

Uses of Computer in Our Daily Life

Computing is essentially the act of processing information or making decisions using tools or machines. Medical computing is an important field as it directly affects human health and survival. For example, computed tomography (CT) scans, laser surgery and positron emission tomography (PET) scans are used in medical practice every day. The medical field is also slowly transitioning to computer-aided diagnosis and design through 3D printing. These are just a few of the countless applications of computer power in medicine in the 21st century.

Computers also play a crucial role in transportation systems. Satellite navigation systems keep drivers and passengers on track while avoiding accidents, while traffic lights and speed limiters keep roads safe and orderly. Computers also monitor air and sea travel for safety and security. Airlines use computerized reservation systems to efficiently schedule crew, cargo and passenger appointments. Computations power all aspects of transportation in the 21st century.

As data collection and processing grows easier, the computing potential grows exponentially- even beyond what we imagine today. We've barely tapped into how computers can improve our lives in the age of Moore's law. Back in 2011, smartphones were still relatively basic compared to what's available today. Mobile phone technology has exploded over the last few years, with more storage capacity and faster processors. Many people are now able to use high-performance computing (HPC) platforms like the ones found in supercomputers to perform simulations or analyze vast amounts of data. This allows scientists to make leaps in understanding various subjects. It's easy to imagine how this will change society in the future as humankind's computing capabilities grow exponentially once again.

Computing is a rapidly growing field that will shape our daily lives in the 21st century. The future of computing depends on how easily accessible computers are to the general public- both now and into the distant future.
